Fun Till One

Every week here on the ship we host the same activities, with a few exceptions given that one of our routes has an extra sea day. That being said, we are on a rotation of schedules so that we do not get bored doing the same activities every week. This week I was in charge of the 6-8s, which meant I got to host the "Fun Till One" Party where we keep the kids until 1:00am. I had wanted to go out in Belize but could not find anyone to go with. Needless to say, I was feeling a little down and homesick. Before heading to work, I said a little prayer that my spirits would be lifted and that I would have a fun time at work. When I got to work, one of my colleagues told me I had a sparkle in my eye today. My heart was softened and, with the spirit in my heart, I was ready for work. The "Fun Till One" Party started at 10:00. I was hosting the party with Tess, and I must say, we are quite the party hostesses. I am so happy that I can come to work and forget about whatever else may be going on. Parties with the kids are by far my favorite part of this job. We get to dance and act crazy and silly and the kids just eat it up. While every day has its high and low points, I am loving life here on the cruise and trying to make the best of every moment, even the bad ones.

  1. I'll bet those little kids thought they had it made, staying up until 1:00 in the morning! What are all the various age ranges that you work with? You mentioned two-year-olds and 6-8's. What is the oldest group you get?

One of the things I love about my job is seeing kids of all ages rather than the same kids all day long. It sounds like you get variety as well.

    Love you bunches.
