Home sweet home!
The beds are actually pretty comfortable.
That is all the closet space I get ... But I'm excited to shop!
This is the desk that we share ...
Our first port day was in the Bahamas but I couldn't get off because I had trainings. I have 1-2 hours of training everyday. This will last the first three months or so. I cannot imagine how hard it is for people who do not speak English as their first language. I have become friends with some girls who are also new. We got off ship in St. Thomas.
We just walked around the shops outside the port. It was nice to get off the ship for a bit. We ate a hooters =) The scenery is absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to further explore it more on my future days off!
Here is another view in St. Thomas! Breath taking right?
Our next stop was in St. Marteen. It so beautiful here.I can't believe that for the next 6 months I will be at these beautiful places every two weeks! AMAZING!!
The casino made me feel like home. ha ha it was right in the middle of a bunch of tourist shop ... perfect right?
This church was built in 1851. It is also right in the middle of a bunch of shops.
Words cannot even explain how beautiful is it here!
As I'm typing this ... this is my view!! We are at the Honky Tonk Bar. This is a place a lot of workers go because of the WiFi!
These are my new friends Annie (on the left from Canada) and Laura (in the middle from South Africa). They are also first-contractors so we have had fun bonding over al of the new stuff! Well, until next time ... Please comment or e-mail me. It helps with the homesickness =)
wow, can I just say I am super jealous! Hope you are having a wonderful time and getting a great tan!
ReplyDeleteTiny room--smaller than a dorm room! I hope you don't get claustrophobia.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics. Kris and I were in St. Thomas before Cori was born. Is that Charlotte Amalie? Did you take a cab anywhere? When we visited, every cab driver told us the fee was "nine dolla, mon" no matter where we wanted to go or how many passengers were in the cab. It seemed so funny to us that we still use that phrase sometimes.
I'm glad you are going to be able to get off the ship and visit some of the beautiful places in the Caribbean. I love the white sand beaches and turquoise water.
Keep up the blogging! Love you.
BBFF!!! I'm so glad you have pics up and all that jazz. I miss you and I can't wait 'til Saturday!!!!!! I lud you! Chris and Sean lud you too.
